Secret Language

The skeletal shape imagined in this work was drawn digitally in response to pathways and caverns created in tree bark by many years of habitation by termites, their "Secret Language." The slab is cast in 100% recycled pewter, mainly small icons and decorative figurines which are discarded when they get in the way of generational progress or change in human homes, much like the piles of sawdust removed when termites expand their wooded ones.
